In June 2005, two auction items of Mr. Marlin C. Bates III (marlinbe3@charter.net - eBay user "balde3") were paid for. One item was received, along with a hand-written note that says:
Sorry I could not find other T-shirt
When I run across it I will send it.

Despite several inquiries to Mr. Bates, neither the item (number 3977460353) nor a refund has been received.
